At St. C's we are wanting to offer our people an ability to continue to grow in our understanding of how racism impacts us personally and the institutions we participate in.  We are excited to offer a Racial Justice Discernment Track that will allow this ongoing work to happen within our faith community.

The Racial Justice Discernment Track looks like this:

  1. Participate in book club "So You Want to Talk About Race"
  2. Take the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).  (more information about it here - https://idiinventory.com/)
  3. Go through IDI with Alissa and learn about growing edges around intercultural development
  4. Join cohort that meets for 6 months creating specific goals and action items

We just finished the first round of the book club portion of the track.  We had eleven people participate and had very fruitful conversations.  The next opportunity to participate in the step one (the book club) will be in October.  Let Meghan (associatevicar@stcolumbakent.org) know if you want to join or if you have any questions.
