Work Party! Nov. 20th 9am-4pm - Come When You Can, Leave When You Need To!
We'll start the morning with donuts and coffee and break for lunch at noon. All are invited to come help clean up our grounds. All ages welcome - to help move rocks, clean up trash, trim and prune shrubs and hedges. Check out the list below for a more extensive list of things that need to be done.
Come When You Can, Leave When You Need To! If you have certain tools or abilities that would be helpful email Meghan - associatevicar@stcolumbakent.org.
And remember St. Columba really knows how to put the party in work party! Let's get our property looking beautiful and have fun doing it :).
General Outdoor items:
* Repair/re-hang the chain gate, and move the lock to make it easier to get in and out
* Run 2X new ethernet cables up from the fire room, along the parapet, and add security cameras looking at the memorial and community gardens
* Clear out brush from:
- behind the corner of the parking lot where the homeless folks hang out
- the side of the memorial garden near the bees
- haul away the giant brush piles by the community garden
- clear the retention ponds
- brush hog away the road behind the community garden
* Dig out 2X stumps from the community garden, so we can add new plots there
* replace the broken bollards with new LED ones (needs some prep work to test fit/figure out how to install new ones)
* Clear trash from the property
* Dig up Blackberry roots in the memorial garden, parking lot beds, and community garden areas.
Community garden items (Will also send this out to Deepa and Kamal):
* Clear all brush from 2021 plots and remove from property
