Upcoming Opportunities for Baptism, Confirmation, and Reception

Are you ready to go deeper in your relationship with God and the Church? There are several opportunities coming up for those who have not been baptized to receive the sacrament of Baptism, and an opportunity for folks who have not been Confirmed or Received in the Episcopal Church to receive Confirmation or Reception.  Read on to learn more and click here to indicate your interest in one or more of these rites.

Baptism is the primary rite of membership and a sacrament in our church. The Episcopal church offers the sacrament of baptism to everyone who has not received it, regardless of age. This means we baptize children, youth, adults - everyone! If you are interested in learning more about baptism for yourself or for your child, click here. Three upcoming feast days that are ideal for baptisms are Easter Vigil(April 11), Pentecost Sunday (May 31st) and the feast of our Patron Saint, Columba which we will celebrate on June 14th.

Confirmation/Reception are the two rites of membership in the Episcopal Church that represent either an adult decision to follow Jesus (for those baptized previously or as infants/children) or a decision made by those who were confirmed in another Christian tradition to make your home in the Episcopal Church. The first is called Confirmation, the latter Reception. These are rites open to anyone of an age to understand that commitment and make it on their own. We are forming a confirmation class at St. C's for anyone seeking confirmation or reception this spring. The class will meet after the 10am service on the Sundays of March 22nd & 29th, and April 5th. Confirmations and Receptions will take place at St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle on Saturday May 9th.
