From the Associate Vicar: St. Valentine

Dear One's of St. C's,

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Did you know that St. Valentine is the patron saint of beekeepers?  St. Valentine is charged with ensuring the sweetness of honey and the protection of beekeepers.  Being a beekeepers is not for the faint of heart!  Not only do they have to get suited up, but these bees need constant attention and love.  We are so thankful for our bee guild.  I know when I hear about species that are starting to disappear on our beautiful planet I get a little anxious.  So it brings me great comfort that our church property houses and cares for the bees.  On top of that, as a community we get blessed by their honey production every year.

Come out on March 1st right after the 10am service and give your thanks to the beekeepers and our bees by helping to decorate the new Bee Hives!!  No artistic talent necessary. We will be painting our hands and imprinting them on the hive.  This will be a beautiful visual statement that the bees housed on our property are loved, cared for, and a blessing to everyone in our congregation.  Let’s make St. Valentine proud by spreading the love and supporting the beekeepers.

Blessings,

Meghan
