For Youth Feb. 17th: Way of Love Week 4 - Learn

Learn, how does Scripture help us draw near to God? How can learning God's story help us see God moving in our own stories?

Youth this Sunday will meet during the 10am in the Blue Room, and we'll be discussing the significance of Scripture in understanding how God moves in our world, and how God reveals himself not to the wise, smart, strong, or rich, but to the weak, young, poor, and alone.

By reading and reflecting on Scripture, especially the life and teachings of Jesus, we draw near to God and God’s word dwells in us. When we open our minds and hearts to Scripture, we learn to see God’s story and God’s activity in everyday life.

“Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” – John 14:23

What ways of reflecting on Scripture are most life-giving for you?

A Prayer for Youth while we prepare:

O God, whose glory it is always to have mercy: Be gracious to all who have gone astray from your ways, and bring them again with penitent hearts and steadfast faith to embrace and hold fast the unchangeable truth of your Word, Jesus Christ your Son; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, p. 218)
