Come join in on the annual Kent Crop Walk!  It is on Sunday, Oct 7^th and begins with sign-in at 12:30.  The walk starts from Kent Lutheran Church located at 336 2^nd Ave S in downtown Kent.  The main route is 6K and there are shorter alternate routes that are 3K.  The walk goes through town and meanders along the Green River to end at the church.  Snacks and water are provided along the way as well as hot dogs and treats at the end.  The 6K takes only a couple of hours.

Church World Service organizes the Walk.  It is an organization that works with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice around the world.  The Walks are interfaith events part of whose proceeds stay in our community.  It is a worthwhile cause and a fun way to get out and enjoy the weather one last time before the season changes.

My son and I have been the only walkers representing St Columba’s in the last two years.  If you cannot walk, please sponsor us!  Better yet, come out with your buddies and your dog and help us end hunger in our community and worldwide, one step at a time.
