Food bank Update

On Sunday March 3rd during the Adult Formation hour, Mother Meghan and members of the Food Bank Team (Tracy, Richard, Rod, Susan and Jane) met with other members of congregation to discuss the future of the food bank and the importance of assuring stable financial support to continue this ministry. With demand for food at an all time high in our community and the cost of food skyrocketing, it has been necessary to cut back our service to one Wednesday per month.  We are delighted to share now that members of the congregation have committed $10,000 in donations for the rest of 2024 which will allow the church to open two Wednesdays per month beginning in May and every week beginning in September.  The plan now is to re-evaluate our pledges to this work every Lent and with hope that we will be able to continue it in the future.  This is truly a wonderful response to this need and we thank the many of you how have demonstrated your commitment to this ministry.
