From the Artist: Mirabella Maeve & the New Epiphany Art

In creating this painting, done in acrylic and gold leaf, for the liturgical season of Epiphany, artist Mirabella Maeve had as a guiding theme the cosmic interplay described within the following scriptural passage, from the Prologue to the Gospel of John, which she has etched in Greek onto the canvas, (to echo the pattern of icons):

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)

As we celebrate this season, may It enlighten each one of us.
